"THROW" yourself into something new!
Fairview Studios teaches functional, utilitarian, wheel-thrown pottery techniques.
Classes are offered for adults 18 years and older.
Hand-building is not included in the studio’s instruction.
If you are considering a hand-built project, please speak to an instructor regarding dimensions and firing fees.
Tools are provided.
Classes run every day except Friday.
You will be enrolled in one class per week, on the day of your choice, pending space.
Please note, we currently have a waiting list. Spots open regularly.
Each class includes a 30-minute demonstration and will always include the four basic steps of pottery-throwing: centering, opening, raising and shaping.
The instructional demonstration takes place 30 minutes after class start. Following the demo, the instructor will address student questions and provide help.
The pace at which students learn is personal; generally, the more you practice, the more you’ll learn. Help and advice is always available.
